FOOD AND CHEMICAL ALLERGY TESTING


From the moment we are born, we are constantly exposed to a vast number of allergens on a daily basis. Unfortunately, a lot of this exposure also occurs when our immune system is immature. Many patients are able to “out-grow” their childhood allergies. There are also many who still suffer from these well into their adult life.

Finding out which foods and chemicals trigger low-grade inflammation would allow the patient to do “avoidance therapy” to rest the immune system. The allergic foods can then be re-introduced one by one.

For many patients, this is a much better approach than continuous consumption of anti-histamines and other anti-inflammatories.

With the new test available, it is not necessary to do many skin pricks like the conventional tests. Just one simple blood test would be enough !
